Musa Isle - Miami, Florida
Musa Isle was a tourist attraction started in 1907 on property on the Miami River. In 1919, a section of the property was leased to a Seminole Indian named Willie Willie, who operated a trading post in West Miami. Willie Willie encouraged other Seminoles to camp at Musa Isle during the winter tourist season where they wrestled alligators, made and sold crafts, and performed other aspects of their daily life. Musa Isle closed in the early 1960s and the land was sold of for development. Nothing remains of the tourist attraction today.
