The Tepees - Denver, Colorado
The Tepees was located 18 miles west of Denver on Highway 40 at Bergen Park junction. They were the largest Tepees in the world. The Tepees had a selection of Indian and Western jewelry, Indian rugs, curios, gifts, and souvenirs available for sale to tourists. There was also a motel, restaurant, cocktail lounge, and an area for dancing. The Tepees was opened in the early 1940s and closed in the early 70s.
